WEST END NIGHTLIFE

For the nightlife on Roatan, it consists of one main area where a great deal of expats and tourists congregate to enjoy a cold beer and share stories of their adventures. This place is called West End. Primarily known for the array of Dive businesses, Restaurants and souvenir stores. West End also has a nightspot for you.

SUNDOWNER'S BEACH BAR

Sundowner's has long time reigned as the favored choice to go to start the night off. It is the quintessential beach bar. They have a daily happy hour starting just before sunset. Be sure to sample the islands' drink called the Monkey La La - An alcoholic concoction with the consistency of a milkshake similar to a mudslide. It is absolutely delicious!
Be sure to stop by Wednesday evening for "Chase The Ace", a local drinking lottery to win a bunch of cash. This is one of the busiest nights of the week for all local expats in the area.

THE BLUE MARLIN
The Blue Marlin is the newest location in West End and undoubtedly one of the nicest and appealing bars there is on this strip. The renovations performed have vastly improved the ambience and comfort of this once run down shack. With large sofa areas, seating for dinner and a spacious bar, the Blue Marlin is the place to be, especially on Friday night when live music is performed by the ever changing band of The Bar Flys. Lead by guitarist Scott with music sung by his daughter Harmony, the band covers an eclectic group of music from the history of rock. Everything from Sheryl Crow - AC/DC - Black Sabbath, this band is extremely well known for making your night one to remember.
THE DIVE SPORTS BAR
The Dive is trying to make its niche in the sports bar market here. Although there is not an official American Style sports bar on the island, The Dive is starting to find their feet with Monday night football and weeknd games. On Friday nights the Dive is also making a go out of live music. Time will tell, all the best.
FRANKS Le BISTRO
Frank's Le Bistro is becoming very well known in West End for their Sunday night Kareoke nights. Very popular among the local islanders and the Honduran Spanish.
NOVA
Nova hit the West End hard at mid-2008 when it opened it's door to an array of draws throughout the week. 80's one night to house/Dance on another to Salsa. Usually a very busy location late on Friday nights to enjoy the winding down of the eveing.
FOSTERS WATERFRONT BAR

Foster'sis one of the most well known locations in all of West End as it was the first structure built in this community. To be a fly on the wall at this location - the stories one could tell. Usually a fantastic location to have an unobscured Sunset view and a snack before it gets really busy with the night life. Currently under major renovations, the new leasee has some fantastic ideas to make this one of the real "goto" places of West End. More info to follow.

TWISTED TOUCAN

This bar has changed hands several times over the past few years. Once the "it" spot for a good time in West End it has not revamped itself to keep up with competition. This location is for sale again and would well be worth an investment from someone with good insight into the Caribbean scene. The current owners are doing their best and have recentlyand has seen a moderate draw.
